Betty G. Zanot, 88, of East Brady died Monday February 1, 2016 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.

Born April 11, 1927 in Sandy Hollow, (Clarion Co.), she was the daughter of Lincoln and Nellie (Noonan) Snyder. 

On June 6, 1949, Betty married Herman Jildo Zanot.  He preceded her in death on August 23, 2001. 

A graduate of Rimersburg High School, Betty attended Clarion State College and was a war time teacher at the one- room school houses in Sandy Hollow and New Athens.  Later, in addition to raising a family, she was the East Brady Office Manager for Dr. Robert Todd DMD for many years. 

Betty was a member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church in East Brady.  An avid sports fan, she enjoyed cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins.  Betty liked tending to her flower gardens and was never far from her cats. 

She is survived by 1 daughter Jody Miller and husband Kenneth of Rehoboth, MA and 2 sons Michael Zanot and wife Amy of Butler and Kevin Zanot of Pittsburgh. 

Betty is also survived by 2 granddaughters Lauren and Tracy, and her cats Baby Gray and Paws.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 1 infant daughter, 1 sister Elsie Fasenmeyer and 1 brother Fred Snyder.

Friends of Betty G. Zanot will be received 2-4, 6-8PM Thursday February 4, 2016 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way East Brady, PA 16028

A parish prayer service will be held in the funeral home at 3:30PM Thursday.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Friday February 5, 2016 at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, East Brady with the Rev. William Kuba officiating.

Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.

The Zanot family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Betty's name to Orphans of the Storm State 11878 Route 85, Kittanning PA 16201
