Dorothy Smith, 92, of Sugarcreek Twp, formerly of Queenstown died Friday January 15, 2016.

Born February 26, 1923 in New Ferry, Cheshire, England, she was the daughter of Thomas S. and Mary (Price) Horswell. 

On November 10, 1945 Dorothy married Kenneth L. Smith.  He preceded her in death on March 22, 1994.

Dorothy worked in Port Sunlight, England for 10 years for Lever Brothers manufacturing soap. After coming to America, Dorothy proudly became an American citizen in 1958.   

Dorothy loved music, mystery movies and enjoyed sending cards and letters to loved ones. 

Surviving is 1 daughter Patricia A. (Lonnie) Beabout of Roseville and 1 son John G. (Jane) Smith of Stafford, VA.

4 Grandchildren, Lisa Pelly, Paula (Donald) Scholl, Stefen (Kristine) Smith and David (Jeanine) Smith.

She is also survived by 7 Great Grandchildren, in-laws, nieces and nephews. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Friends of Dorothy Smith will be received 2-4, 6-8PM Monday January 18, 2016 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way East Brady, PA 16028.

Funeral Services for Dorothy Smith will be held at the funeral home at 8PM Monday with the Rev. Ray Eichler, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, East Brady officiating.

Burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private.
