Dorothy J. Wimer, 94, of East Brady died Tuesday February 14, 2017 at the VNA Hospice, Butler.

Born February 9, 1923 in Bradys Bend, she was the daughter of Arthur W. and Rosetta L. (Kelly) Hillwig. 

A 1941 Graduate of East Brady High School, Dorothy attended the Butler Hospital School of Nursing.  She worked as a medical tech with the East Brady Ambulance and was Post Master at the East Brady Post Office, retiring after 32 years.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling and as the matriarch of 5 generations, she loved spending time with her family.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Brady.

Dorothy is survived by 1 daughter, Kay and her husband Whitey Crissman of Kittanning, 1 daughter-in-law, Peggy Wimer of East Brady, and 1 son-in-law, Jude Kendra of Brookville.

She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Karl Dean (Thelma) Stewart, Julie (John) Scholl, Brent (Alicia) Shepard, Kim (Mike) Simpson, Bill (Andrea) Crissman. Petula (Steve) King, Brian (Kim) Wimer, 1 granddaughter-in-law, Diana Stewart, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. 

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arnold  Wimer, 1 son Neil Wimer, 1 daughter Sharon Kendra, 1 brother William Hillwig and 2 grandsons, Larry and Stephen Stewart. 

Friends of Dorothy J. Wimer will be received from 2:00-4:00, 6:00-8:00 PM Friday February 17, 2017 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028

Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00AM Saturday, February 18, 2017 in the Funeral Home.  Rev. Raymond Eichler of the First Presbyterian Church will officiate. 

Private burial will follow in Bradys Bend Cemetery.
