To all the Kelly boys, especially Ed and Ray. Your dad was my first baseball coach and a man I truly admired and respected. He always cared for the kids in East Brady. I just heard of his passing and am truly sorry for your loss. He was definitely a man who I looked up to. Heaven gained a hero. God bless all of you.

It was such a sad moment to learn, just yesterday, as I was searching for Joseph P. Kelly's contact information, that I learned he had passed away.
In 2006 I was introduced to him and Edna, as a CNA caregiver. While working with Mr. Kelly, I learned much about him. He would tell me stories of what happen in the war. He told me he could never sleep on the fourth of July, as the fire crakers rigning out in the nite reminded him of the war and brought back vivid memories. He was indeed a special man. Respectful to others and loveable. His kindness and generosity was outstanding. Besides my deceased Father, he was the kindness man I knew. He showed respect to people at all times.
My job with him came to an end when he moved into nursing homes, however, our friendship never ended, as i continued to visit him on a regular basis until I moved out of the area. Sometime later, I tried to contact him, but heard he had moved and privacy laws dictated, no one was allowed to tell me where he moved to, so I lost contact with him.
I wish i knew where he was, so I could have said Good-bye. He will always be in my memory and heart forever.

I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Kelly's passing. He and your mother were a big part of our youth - seeing him on the sidelines at every game and talking with your Mum in the cafeteria line. Those of us from East Brady have been blessed to have been raised with so many wonderful adults, adults who helped to teach and shape us by their words and actions. I remember Mr.Kelly always had a smile on his face, and even when I left East Brady, he would remember me when I came home for a game. May God hold you close as you go through this time. While you may not be able to see or hug him, he is always near.

I worked with Joe at Damon's on the same shift. The hours of overtime Joe worked to provide for his family always amazed me for his love of family.
I will always remember helping Joe build his Nautilus machine the first one I had ever seen I was a welder back then. He said "the boys will have a good machine to work out on" oh how he loved and took pride in his boys.
May the days become lighter and all the good memory's hold you up.

I only knew Mr Kelly for a few years but he was always so nice and warm to me. He was a class act, always smiling and laughing .
