Maxine L. Bowser, 89, of East Brady passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Parker Personal Care surrounded by the love of her family.

Maxine was born July 3, 1928 in Butler, PA to Fred K. and Bertha V. (Hillwig) Hay.  She was raised in Bradys Bend and graduated from East Brady High School in 1946.  She married Thomas Hobart Bowser on September 17, 1946 at the First Presbyterian Church in East Brady.

She was a stay at home mother of 3 and was involved in the PTA and was a Cub Scout Den Mother for many years.  She loved working in her flower garden, going dancing with her husband Tommy, going on bus trips with friends and taking family trips to amusement parks and Virginia Beach.  Maxine loved reading and had a huge passion for writing letters and cards to family and friends.  The biggest place in her heart was filled with the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Maxine is survived by 1 daughter, Dana L. Craig and husband Richard of East Brady and 2 sons; Frederick Keith Bowser and wife Sandra of East Brady, and Thomas Randall Bowser and wife Kathleen of Butler.  She is also survived by 11 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 65 years; Tommy, her twin sister; Arlene Emhoff, sister Mildred Haye and brother Kenneth Haye.  

Services for Maxine L. Bowser will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the Bowser family requests memorial contributions be made to the East Brady Public Library 102 4th Street, East Brady, PA 16028
