Daniel J. Wilson, 61, of Butler died Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Butler Memorial Hospital. 

Born August 23, 1956 in Butler, he was the son of James A. and Ella G. (Blatt) Wilson. 

Dan spent most of his career employed by Napco Inc. in Valencia. 

If there was ever anything you needed to know about motorcycles, guns or anything in between, Dan was your guy.  Although he typically was a quiet man, he would light up when he was discussing anything he was passionate about.  He was an animal lover and enjoyed spending his days in the woods with his dogs Sadie and Scout. 

Dan looked forward to the Monday after Thanksgiving every year where you could find him out hunting deer at his family’s farm.  He also enjoyed playing Bocce at Alameda and Disc Golf with his daughter Rachel. 

Trivia was a strength of Dan’s, he would routinely watch Jeopardy with his family.  His actions of love were always made known to his wife Nancy and daughters Rachel and Gretchen who will miss him dearly. 

Surviving is his wife Nancy Wilson of Butler, whom he married May 22, 1982.  Two daughters, Rachel Zang and husband Garrett of Evans City and Gretchen Wilson of Butler. 

Five sisters; Niki (David) Young of Monrivia, MD, Judy (Don) Rowe of Emlenton, PA, Barb Wilson of Thurmont, MD, Dorothy Rankin of Rimersburg, Molly (Bill) Offutt of Thurmont, MD, two brothers; Dennis Wilson of Northeast, PA and Thomas (Sharon) Wilson of Rimersburg, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and the Yellow Labs; Sadie and Scout.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Anita Wilson. 

Friends of Daniel J. Wilson will be received from 2:00 PM-5:00PM Sunday, January 21, 2017 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028. 

A Blessing Service will be held at 5:00PM Sunday in the Funeral Home with Rev. John Butler of St. Patrick RC Church celebrating.

Burial in St. Eusebius Cemetery will be private.
