Mabel J. Colligan, 90, formerly of Kittanning, East Brady and Rimersburg died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home.
Born March 8, 1928 in Rimersburg, she was the daughter of Paul and Edith M. (Greenawalt) Lobaugh.
A 1946 graduate of Rimersburg High School, Mabel spent her career working at Owens Illinois Glass in Clarion as a decorator. She retired after 34 years.
In 1948, she married Roy P. Colligan. Together, they enjoyed 50 years until his death in 1998.
Mabel was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kittanning. She enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved attending her grandchildren’s various sporting events, traveling, cheering for the Pittsburgh Penguins and playing BINGO.
Surviving is 1 son; R. Paul Colligan and wife Patty of Kittanning, 2 daughters; Mary “Sis” King and husband James Sr. of Kittanning and Catherine “Cathy” Hale and husband John of Pittsburgh.
She is also survived by 6 grandchildren; James “Jamie” King Jr. and wife Erin of Plumville, Jonathan Hale and wife Erin of South Park, Joseph “Joe” Hale of Falls Church, VA, Catherine “Katie” King and wife Kelsey of Ford City, Michael Colligan and fiancé Gabriella Mead of Freeport, Ann Colligan of State College; and 4 Great Grand Children; Sophia, Alex and Leah Hale and James King III.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 1 sister Phyllis Randolph.
The Colligan family would like to thank the owners and staff of Heritage Meadows Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they provided.
Services for Mabel J. Colligan will be private.
