Mervin L. Bowser, 81 of East Brady died Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Chicora Medical Center.
Born January 29, 1937 in Perry Twp. Armstrong Co, he was the son of Wilber J. and Katherine F. (Aikens) Bowser.
On November 24,1962, Mervin married the former Viola Spiker. She preceded him in death on July 25, 2016.
Mervin worked on the Lewis Dairy Farm in Kaylor, then the David Joseph Company in Butler where he prepared railroad cars for scrap.
He enjoyed fishing-as long at he was getting a bite; and could always be found around East Brady collecting soda pop cans for scrap.
Mervin is survived by 1 daughter; Rebecca (David) McLean of Millerstown, PA. 1 Brother; Gerald (Jean Ann) Bowser and 4 sisters; Mary Potts, Rita Little, Violet Draa and Margie Radaker. 4 Grandchildren; David, Jamie, Jackie and Bridget, 3 Great Grandchildren and his nephew; Dave and Peggy Bowser with whom Mervin made his home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 3 brothers; Wilbert, Harold and Richard and daughters, Robin and Janet.
Friends of Mervin L. Bowser will be received from 2:00-4:00PM Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028
Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul DeBacco officiating.
Burial in Bear Creek Cemetery will be private.
