Betty M. Lias, 90, of Bradys Bend Twp, Armstrong Co. (Kittanning Hollow) died Sunday July 14, 2013 at ACMH Hospital, Kittanning, PA. 

Born March 6, 1923 in Shippenville, PA, she was the daughter of Lawrence F. and Mable H. (Lowers) Shepard. 

Betty attended Karns City High School and on August 4, 1941 she married Thomas D. "Shorty" Lias in Wellsburg, WVa.   

Betty loved yard sales, taking care of animals, fishing, and watching sports on television with her family.  She also sold Avon in the East Brady Area for many years.  "Aunt Betts" will always be remembered for making her nieces, nephews and family feel special and so loved. 

She is survived by 1 grandson Thomas Robinson of Kittanning Hollow and 1 brother Robert Shepard of Stoneboro, PA.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 daughter Betty E. Robinson, 1 Son in Law Wilson L. Robinson, 1 Granddaughter Amy Robinson , 2 brothers and 3 sisters. 

Friends of Betty M. Lias will be received 2-4, 6-8pm Tuesday July 16, 2013 at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home 105 4th Street East Brady, PA 16028

Funeral services will be held 11am Wednesday July 17, 2013 at the Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronald Roudebush, Pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, Karns City.

Private Burial will follow in Bradys Bend Cemetery.
