Carl L. "Sonny" Welton, 72, of Karns City (Roseville) died Friday morning at his home.
Born June 19, 1942 in Cowansville, he was the son of Carl J. and Elsie G. (Gutherie) Welton.
On June 20, 1981, Sonny married the former Vonnie R. Farone, she survives.
A US Army Veteran, Sonny served during the Vietnam War as a Specialist 4. He was Honorably discharged and received an Expert Rifle M-14 badge.
Sonny worked for the East Brady Lumber Company for 35 years as a truck driver. He loved spending time with his family, going to car shows, watching NASCAR races, enjoyed hunting and loved mowing his many acres of lawn.
Sonny is survived by his wife Vonnie Welton of Karns City, 2 sons James (J.C) Welton and wife Amy of Karns City and Frank Farone and wife Mandie of Karns City.
He is also survived by his mother Elsie Welton, 1 Brother Ron Welton and 1 Sister Linda Fencil all of Chicora. 1 Sister in Law Connie Campbell and husband Don of Karns City. 3 Grandchildren Austin and Julianna Farone and Jaycee Welton.
Sonny was preceded in death by his father, 1 son Eric Jon Welton and his inlaws Frank and Ada Farone.
Friends of Carl L. "Sonny" Welton will be received from 2-4, 6-8pm Sunday November 2, 2014 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way East Brady, PA 16028
Funeral Services will be held 11am Monday in the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul DeBacco of the Crisswell Bible Baptist Church officiating.
Private Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Welton family asks that donations be made in Sonny's name to St. Eusebius Cemetery 301 East 2nd Street East Brady, PA 16028
