Craig D. Cole, 65, of East Brady, PA passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 after a long and courageous battle with "GBM" Brain Cancer. Craig passed with his wife Vivian (Pavloff) Cole of 25 + years by his side.

Born June 2, 1950 in Salem, Massachusetts, Craig was the son of Dr. Raymond F. and Dorothy E. (Blacker) Cole.

A Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Craig served in Vietnam from 1968 - 1970.  Craig was awarded the Purple Heart. He also received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Campaign Medal, Cross of Gallantry, Combat Action Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal 1st Award.

After his Honorable Discharge from the military, Craig went on to a career in Law Enforcement. He had been employed as a Police Officer from 1973 until his retirement in 2013. He began his career in his home town of Marblehead, Massachusetts, also worked in Palm Beach, Florida, and East Brady, Pennsylvania where he served as Police Chief. He also served as a federal police officer at the VA in Butler PA. for ten years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Vivian, and her parents Paul and Louise Pavloff. His brother Ken (Cindy) Cole, sisters Cynthia Buckley, and Rae Cole. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and in-laws.

Craig was preceded in death by his father Dr. Raymond F. Cole and his mother Dorothy E. (Blacker) Cole

Friends of Craig D. Cole will be received from 6-8PM Wednesday October 28, 2015. and 11-12PM Thursday October 29, 2015 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.  707 Kelly's Way, East Brady, PA. 16028

A Parish Prayer Service will be held at 6pm Wednesday in the Funeral Home

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1PM Thursday October 29, 2015 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church with Rev. John Butler officiating.  Military Honors and Funeral Luncheon will immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers the Cole family asks that donations be made in Craig's name to the Butler County Humane Society 1015 Evans City Rd. Renfrew, PA. 16053
