Donald E. Seybert

Donald E. Seybert, 72, of Karns City died Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 16, 1952, he was the son of Gloria M. (Greenawalt) Seybert Moore.

On February 28, 1970, Don married the former Barbara J. Furl, she survives.

For many years, Don drove for George Toth Trucking in Hilliards.

Don enjoyed hunting, raising Beagles and Coon Dogs and doing mechanic and autobody work.  He was passionate about American Chestnut Tree conservation and was always a bit of a jokester.  He enjoyed playing Santa for kids.  He was a caring spirit who loved and adored his family.  He would drop anything to help his family and friends. 

Surviving is his wife Barbara J. Seybert of Karns City, one daughter, Barbara “Babs” Bellotti of San Diego, and one son, Donald “Donny” Seybert and wife Sheryl of Grove City.

He is also survived by two granddaughters, Kiersten Bellotti, Breanna Seybert, two grandsons, Grant Bellotti, Christopher Seybert, one brother Chester (Jackie) Seybert of Karns City and one sister, Lori (Scott) Myers of Rimersburg.

Don was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Anna Greenawalt with whom he was raised, his mother, and one son, Christopher Seybert.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., East Brady, PA.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00-8:00PM Friday, August 23, 2024 at Faith Fellowship Alliance Church 200 Faith Way-Fared Drive, Butler, PA 16001 with Rev. Richard Jenks officiating.

Don will be buried in Bradys Bend Cemetery.

The Seybert family asks that memorials be made in Don’s name to The American Chestnut Foundation 50 N Merrimon Ave, Ste 115, Asheville, NC  28804.
