Doris Benninger Obituary

Doris Jean Benninger, 86, of Seybertown, passed away early Saturday morning, March 20, 2021 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Brady’s Bend Twp., Armstrong County, on December 28, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Arthur Raymond and Anna Marie Schott Benninger.

Doris was a 1953 graduate of the former East Brady High School. She then attended Clarion University for three years. She went on to work as the Unit Secretary at Butler Memorial Hospital for 40 years.

She enjoyed traveling, music and singing with the Country Cousins Band in Butler for eight years. 

Doris was active in the Red Hat Society and the Christian Women’s Connection. 

She was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church in Brady’s Bend.

Doris is survived by her special friend and caregiver Ruth Port of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Benninger.

Friends of Doris Benninger will be received from 12:00 P.M. – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028

A funeral service will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Rev. Pete Sapp, Pastor of Trinity Reformed Church in Brady’s Bend, Officiating.

A mask or appropriate facial covering is required to attend all services.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed

Interment will follow at Brady’s Bend Cemetery.
