Dortha Beatrice "Bea" Geist, 92, of Clarview Rest Home, Sligo, formerly of East Brady, died Saturday October 27, 2012. 

Born April 20, 1920 in Timblin (Jefferson Co.), PA, she was the daughter of Lawrence O. and Minnie Alta (Shaffer) Minich. 

In July of 1940 she married William S. Geist who preceded her in death on January 17, 1975. 

She was of Protestant Faith. 

Bea was a former member of the American Legion Post #488 Auxiliary, Bradys Bend and a former member of the Bradys Bend Historical Society. 

Bea is survived by 1 Brother-in-Law James Bowser Sr. of New Bethlehem and 1 Sister-in-Law Nila Minich of Sligo, PA. 
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 daughters; Joanne Murphy and an infant, 1 granddaughter, 1 sister and 1 brother

Friends of Dortha Beatrice "Bea" Geist will be received 10-11am Tuesday October 30, 2012 at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home 105 4th Street East Brady, PA 16028

Funeral Services will be held at 11am Tuesday in the Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Hillwig of the East Brady Baptist Church officiating. 

Private Burial will follow in Oakland Community Cemetery, Distant, PA.
