Freda M. Silvis, 91, died September 17, 2011 at ACMH Hospital, Kittanning. 

Born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 11, 1920, she was the daughter of Charles and Stella (Jones) McElroy.

She married Christ C. Miller in 1939.  He preceded her in death in 1972.  She then married Robert W. Silvis in 1973, who died in 1991. 

Freda worked for the Keystone Box Company in Pittsburgh, Clark Candy as a Packer in Pittsburgh, and the Department of the Navy in Maryland during World War II.  She also found work as a seamstress for Big River Manufacturing in Kittaning, and later managed the Bradys Bend Senior Center for 15 years. 

She is survived by 3 Sons and 4 Daughters:

Pamela Bonanni of Grove City, PA

Freda is also survived by many grandchildrena and great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands, 2 brothers and 1 sister.
