James E. Martin, 80, of Bradys Bend died Monday, March 29, 2021 at his home.
Born April 19, 1940 in Wilkinsburg, he was the son of John W. and Elizabeth L. (McCluskey) Martin.
Jim began his career at RexHide in East Brady then worked for over 20 years for the Consol Mining in Indiana, PA. He and his wife also operated Martin’s Texaco in Bradys Bend for a number of years.
Jim enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Dolly Martin of Bradys Bend, one son, James A. (Jenna) Martin of Coden, AL, three daughters, Sandra (Pat) Polazzo of Chesterfield, VA, Deborah Evdemon of Sammamish, WA and Kristina (Lance) Mellish of Middletown, OH.
Jim is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Alex and Zachary Polazzo, Max and Sophia Evdemon, Katie and Rachel Mellish and one brother, Dennis (Nancy) Martin of East Brady.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.
There will be no public services for James E. Martin. He will be buried in All Saints Braddock Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., East Brady.
The Martin family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Jim’s name to the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department Graham Street, East Brady, PA 16028 or the East Brady Ambulance PO Box 325 East Brady, PA 16028.
