Joan A. DeMore, 81, of Karns City PA died Tuesday July 3, 2012 at the Chicora Medical Center. 

Born on July 22, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA she was the daughter of Hubert O. and Alice M (Murphy) Hoffmann. 

Joan graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School and on May 26, 1951, married John J. DeMore. 
Joan was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, PA where she was a member of the Young at Heart. 
She enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles and sewing.  Joan and her husband John were also avid photographers. 

Surviving are 7 Daughters, Janet Lizik and husband Robert of Kittanning, Judy Donatelli and husband Robert of Pittsburgh, Jane Klaus and husband Tim of Winter Park, FL, Joyce Brooks and husband Frank of Orlando, FL, JoAnn Klacic and husband Michael of Pittsburgh, Jeanne Andreassi of Altoona PA, Jacqueline Campeau and husband Thomas of Natrona Heights, PA.  2 Sons: James DeMore and wife Dawn of Gibsonia, PA and John wife Jen DeMore of Springdale, PA. 

Joan is also survived by 3 sisters, Sylvia Procyk, Phyllis Raleigh, and Alice Stringer.  3 Brothers Karl, Robert and John Hoffmann and 21 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John who died December 2, 1995, and 1 sister Marilyn Sincevich. 

Friends of Joan A. DeMore will be received 2-9pm Thursday July 5, 2012 at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home 105 4th Street East Brady, PA 16028
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Friday July 6, 2012 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend with Rev. Douglas E. Dorula. 
Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Bradys Bend.
