John P. "Pie" Henry Jr., 81, of East Brady, formerly of Tidioute, PA died Thursday November 29, 2012 at the Golden Living Center, Shippenville.
Born May 28, 1931 in Erie, PA, he was the son of John P. and Florence I. (Petrini) Henry.
A graduate of East Brady High School, and Grove City College, Pie was an Insurance Adjustor with INA Insurance in Pittsburgh for 30 years.
A veteran of the US Navy, Pie served aboard the USS Princeton CVA 37. He was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the Korean Presidential Unit Citation Badge.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #488, Bradys Bend and a life member of the VFW Post #8803 in Tidioute, PA.
Pie enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved snowmobiling.
He is survived by his former wife and companion Lillian Weibel of East Brady. 2 Brothers Robert L. Henry of East Brady and William C. (Kay) Henry of Lakeland FL.
In addition, he is also survived by 1 Step Daughter Tracy Fresh of Butler, 2 Step Sons Danny Bigley of Cranberry Twp, and Larry Bigley of Mars, PA.
Pie was preceded in death by his parents.
A Veterans Service and Military Honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post #488 at 11am on Saturday December 8, 2012 at St. Eusebius Cemetery, Brady Twp. Clarion Co.
Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
