John A. Weibel, 85 of East Brady died Saturday October 19, 2013 at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.
Born in Butler on July 19, 1928, he was the son of Eugene J. and Marjorie E. (Hile) Weibel.
John was a 1946 Graduate of East Brady High School and a graduate of the Oil City Business School. John spent his career as a Professional Land Surveyor with his family business.
A US Army Veteran, John served as a Corporal during the Korean Conflict. He was a recipient of the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal.
On May 31, 1957 he married the former Dawn Painter, she survives.
John was a member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church where he sang in the choir.
He was a talented pianist who could play by ear; he also was a member of Wid Verner's Orchestra.
Surviving is his wife Dawn Weibel of East Brady. 4 Daughters Kim Murphy and husband Kerry of Fredonia, NY, Kelly Ardoin and husband Brett of Pittsboro, NC, Kristin Kinkela and husband Mark of East Brady, and his daughter by choice Hope Ford and husband Steve of Odessa, TX. 3 Sons, Kevin Weibel and wife Stephanie of St. George, UT, Kerry Weibel and wife Sue of Chicora, PA, and Michael Weibel and wife Sheila of Leesburg, VA.
13 Grandchildren Ashley (Justin) Amos, Justin Weibel, Bonnie Weibel, Kerrin Murphy, Kelsey Weibel, John Murphy, Hayden Weibel, Cooper Shepard, Lydia Weibel, William Michael Weibel, Julianne Weibel, Aaron Kinkela and Alex Kinkela.

He is also survived by 1 Brother James E. Weibel and wife Mary of Lancaster, PA, 2 Sisters Margaret Jane Dolmovich of Manassas, VA, and Janet E. Wright and husband Keith of East Brady. 1 Sister in Law Kay Weibel of East Brady. Many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents, 2 Brothers Daniel and Thomas, 1 Daughter Karin Lin and 1 Grandson Christopher Ardoin.
A Memorial Mass will be held 10am Wednesday October 23, 2013 at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. William Kuba officiating.
Military Honors and Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
The Weibel family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to VNA Inpatient Hospice 115 Technology Drive, Butler PA 16001
