Karen E. Switzer

Karen E. Switzer, 70, of Parker Personal Care, formerly of East Brady died Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Born January 4, 1952 in East Brady, she was the daughter of Melville R. "Mel" and Margaret A. "Maggie" (Broscius) Beabout.

On June 4, 1971, Karen married Ernest W. Switzer.  He preceded her in death on September 10, 2008.

Karen was employed as a Nurses Aide for many years at Clarview Nursing, Sugarcreek Rest and the Butler VNA.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in East Brady and sang in the choir.

Karen enjoyed taking walks around East Brady.

She is survived by two daughters, Tracy Beabout-Taladay of the D.C area and Stacie Boyle and her husband Tom of Rimersburg.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, Melory (Derek) Mika, Tyler Lencer, Ryan Lencer, Dylan Jones; two great grandchildren, Kaleb and Kylie Mika and two sisters; Sharon (Tom) Hillwig of Shippenville and Sue (Norman) Stewart of Lemoore, CA.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Friends of Karen E. Switzer will be received from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM Friday, September 23, 2022 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.

Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home at 8:00PM Friday with Rev. Raymond Eicher of the First Presbyterian Church officiating.

Her burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private.
