Lois A. Roofner, 85 of East Brady died Friday, January 22, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born May 24, 1935, she was the daughter of Byron W. and Jennie M. (Baker) Miller.
Lois was a Freeport High School graduate and was employed by Armstrong County at Armsdale for 20 years, retiring in 1996.
On July 6, 1956, Lois married the late George W. “Bill” Roofner, he preceded her in death.
She enjoyed shopping, puzzles, scrapbooking, animals, watching the Steeler and Penguins but most of all, she loved time spent with her family.
Surviving are four children; Cindy (Jim) Dickson of Petrolia, John (JoAnn) Roofner of East Brady, Sandy (Bill) Haller of East Brady, and Ron (fiancé Erin Goodgasell) of East Brady.
She is also survived by three grandchildren; Rebecca (Steve) Bump, Carrie Roofner, Cameron Roofner, four great grandchildren; Logan Bump, Matt Bump, Jamalyn Bump and Aiden Bump, two brothers; Owen Miller of Leechburg, Eugene Miller of Apollo, one sister; Phyllis (Russ) Lamison of Leechburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Bill, one son; James Lee Roofner, one grandson; Jamie Dickson, one brother; Claire Miller and three sisters; Vera Stephenson, Edna Zimmerman and Alice Kinter.
Interment in Hemphill Cemetery will be held at a later date and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. East Brady, PA.
