Loretta A. Reis

Loretta A. Reis, 79 of Chicora died peacefully, Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born September 29, 1945 in Butler, she was the daughter of Geno L. and Mary R. (Franceschini) Righy. 

Loretta was a Karns City High School and St. Clair School of Nursing Graduate.  She was a registered nurse at Butler Hospital for 35 years.

She enjoyed traveling and dinners out with a group of lifelong friends.  She was a generous and caring soul who enjoyed giving reading lessons to her grandchildren, nieces and nephews when they were small.  She loved flower gardening, especially growing geraniums.  Loretta enjoyed the company of her cat Max, watching Tom Selleck and listening to Tom Jones. 

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Christine (Greg) Crawford of Bradys Bend, Danielle (Chris) Bailey of Port Charlotte, FL, and three granddaughters, Jacqueline (Zach) DeBacco of North Port, FL, Natasha Bailey of Mt. Washington, PA, and Sabrina Crawford of Spokane, WA. 

She is also survived by two sisters, Jean (John) Steiner, Linda (Bob) Wall, and a special niece and her family, AJ, John, Emma and Nick Kusick. 

Loretta was preceded in death by her parents and one aunt whom she cared for, Ida Righy.

Services for Loretta A. Reis are private. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., East Brady, PA.

The Reis family suggests that memorials may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.
