Marilee Wiseman

Marilee Wiseman (Marilyn Irwin Kress) was born on September 12, 1952. She departed this world peacefully in her sleep on February 24, 2023. 

She leaves behind 2 adult children, Dr. Jeremy Rodgers and Rachael Kress, 2 grandchildren, Delaney Rodgers and Kain Bailey. As well as 5 siblings, Patti Emminger, Linda Schwab, David Irwin, Robin Patch, and Cheri Greenspring. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Carolyn McCanna Irwin and David Irwin, her eldest child, Josh Rodgers, her husband JR Kress, as well as two of her siblings, Sandy Klingensmith and Cindy Shaumloffel.

Marilee was a 1970 graduate of East Brady high school. She enjoyed a very fulfilling career in Art Rehabilitation Therapy Services. She was a longtime advocate for mental health awareness and known for her dedication to the industry.

She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church at God's Country, where she was a passionate soul.

She will live on through our memories of her and by remembering the time we were able to spend with her. She had a light that shined brighter than the brightest stars and will not be forgotten anytime soon. She was a passionate and creative soul that could no longer be contained by this tiny world, and now she can shine always, with joy and with light. Whenever you see a butterfly flutter past, know that she is somewhere rooting for you. 

Friends and Family will be received from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc.  707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at First United Methodist. Crossfire Church, 1802 N. Main St. Ext.Butler, PA 16001 with Rev. David Janz, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the "First United Methodist Church, Marilyn Wiseman Memorial" 200 E North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
