Mary L. Potts

Mary L. Potts, 84 of Bradys Bend Twp, died Sunday, September 10, 2023 at her home.

Born March 6, 1939 in Queenstown, she was the daughter of Wilber J. and Florence K. (Aikens) Bowser.

On January 25, 1957, Mary married Dean W. Potts.  He preceded her in death on November 1, 2016.

Mary worked in the custodial department for Armstrong School District for over 30 years.

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who deeply cared for her family.  She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, watching birds in her yard and playing cards.

Mary is survived by one son, Dane (Angel) Potts of Bradys Bend, two daughters, Ellen (David) Scholl of Kittanning and Jenny (David) Potts-Delaney of Chicora.  She was a proud Grandma to ten grandchildren- Dan, Jeff, Alicia, Beria, Catrina, Deanna, Alexander, Hannah, Kyle, Matthew and 21 great grandchildren. 

She is also survived by one brother, Gerald (Jean Ann) Bowser of Seybertown, and three sisters, Rita Little of Ohio, Violet Draa of New Bethlehem and Marge (Larry) Radaker of New Bethlehem. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son Dale, one daughter Holly, and four brothers, Harold, Mervin, Richard and Wilber.

Friends of Mary L. Potts will be received from 2:00-4:00 PM, 6:00-8:00 PM Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.

Additional visitation will be held at 10:00AM Thursday September 14, 2023 until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Paul DeBacco officiating.

Private burial will follow in Bradys Bend Cemetery.

The Potts’ family asks that memorials be made in Mary’s name to Sugarcreek Ambulance 2030 PA-268, East Brady, PA 16028.
