Rev. Frank J. Sapp Sr., 64, of Bradys Bend died Wednesday July 16, 2014 at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born October 10, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA he was the son George C. and Elizabeth M. (Novakowski) Sapp. 

Frank graduated from the Community College of Philadelphia with an Associate degree in Criminal Justice.  Then from Temple University with a Bachelors Degree in Religion and the Reformed Episcopal Seminary with a Masters in Divinity. 

He started his career as a truck driver in Philadelphia for 19 years.  Then he was Pastor at Emanuel and Pilgrim Churches in Philadelphia from 1986-1992.  Frank was Pastor of the Sugarcreek Charge-St. Paul's and Trinity Churches-in Armstrong County from 1992-2001.  From there he relocated to Piqua, OH to St. Paul's Church where he was Pastor from 2001-2011.  Lastly, Frank was Pastor at Redeeming Grace Church in Piqua from 2011-2012.

He enjoyed fishing, teaching Sunday School, eating Chinese food, spending time with his grandkids and telling people about Jesus. 

Surviving are his wife Claire Sapp of Bradys Bend whom he married July 7, 1973.  1 daughter Rev. Meg Carnahan and husband Randy of Kaylor, PA. 2 sons Rev. Frank Sapp Jr. and wife Bernetta of New Philadelphia, OH. and Rev. Pete Sapp and wife Terri of Kaylor. 

Frank is also survived by 9 grandchildren-Bethany, Elizabeth, Caleb, Malachi, Frankie, Jaina, Leah, Babs and Abbey. 

Friends of Rev. Frank J. Sapp Sr. will be received 6-8pm Friday July 18, 2014 at the Trinity Reformed Church 887 State Route 68, East Brady, PA 16028

Additional visitation will be from 9-11am Saturday July 19, 2014 with a Funeral Service at 11am.  Frank's children Rev's Frank and Pete Sapp and Rev. Meg Carnahan will be officiating. 

Burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the Sapp family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity Reformed Church.
