Richard F. Harrold

Richard F. Harrold, 82 of Petrolia, PA (Fairview Twp, Butler Co.) died Sunday February 26, 2012 at his home. 

Born June 17, 1929 in Bradys Bend, PA, he was the son of Harvey J. and Blanche M. (McKinney) Harrold. 

On May 31, 1953 Richard married Mary Lou Myers, she survives. 

Richard was a US Army Veteran who served during the Korean War with the 3rd Division D Company 10th Engineering Battalion.  He was honorably discharged with the rank of Specialist First Class.  Richard was the recipient of an Occupation Medal from Japan, a Korean Service Medal with Two Bronze Stars and a Bronze Star Medal.

Richard dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He and his wife enjoyed bicycling along the Allegheny River. 

He was employed by the Local 323 Labor Union where he was a 55 year member. 

Richard was a member of the Karns City Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lou Harrold of Petrolia, PA.  3 daughters, Deborah Todd and husband Gary of Twinsburg, OH, Peggy Harrold of Petrolia, PA, Ricki Robinson and husband Brent of East Brady. 
4 Grandchildren, Ashlee (Darrin) Mong, Heather (Steven) Rush, Richard Todd and Nicholas Robinson.  1 Great Grandson, Trevor Mong.  1 Step Great Granddaughter, Delaney Rush. 

Richard is also survived by 1 sister, Violet Brown of Indiana, PA, 2 Brother in Laws, Benny Myers of Chicora, PA and Terry Myers and wife Bonnie of Butler, and 3 Nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Daughter Karen Hiles, 1 Sister Ruth Harrold, 1 Niece Millie Kennedy and 1 Brother in Law Ralph Brown. 

Friends of Richard F. Harrold will be received 2-4, 7-9pm Tuesday February 28, 2012 at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home 105 4th Street, East Brady, PA 16028

Funeral Services will be held at the Buechele Funeral Home at 11am Wednesday February 29, 2012 with the Rev. Robert Pascoe, Amedisys Hospice Chaplin. 

Burial will be in Bradys Bend Cemetery, Bradys Bend, PA.  Military Honors will be accorded in the cemetery. 

Richard's family suggests Memorial Contributions be made to Amedisys Hospice Services 240 Pullman Square Suite 255, Butler, PA 16001
