Sandra A. Friel, 73, of East Brady died Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born July 27, 1942 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Milton H. and Marie G. (Wenzel) Schran.

On August 6, 1960, Sandy married Charles H. Friel, he survives.

A 1960 Graduate of North Allegheny High School, Sandy worked at grocery stores in East Brady.  In 1988, she attended Kittanning Beauty School and retired from hairdressing in 2004.

Sandy loved to travel and spend winters in Myrtle Beach.  She loved the ocean, swimming and water skiing, looking for good deals at flea markets, crafting and bowling. Above all, she dearly loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, Sandy helped with church dinners, parties and bingo. 

Surviving is her husband of 55 years Chuck Friel of East Brady and 1 son Chuck and wife Nina Friel of Bradys Bend.  4 Grandchildren Kole, Kaden, Kaitlyn and Shea Friel. 

Sandy is also survived by 1 brother Milton and wife Darlene Schran of Karns City. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and many aunts and uncles. 

Friends of Sandra A. Friel will be received 4:00-7:00PM Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services 707 Kellys Way East Brady, PA 16028

A Blessing Service will be held at 7:00PM in the Funeral Home with the Rev. William Kuba officiating.

Private Burial will be in St. Eusebius Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the Friel's ask that donations be made to the East Brady Ambulance PO Box 325 East Brady, PA 16028
