Saundra L. Simpson

Saundra L. “Sandy” Simpson, 81, has passed away peacefully on March 26, 2025 at ACMH Hospital.

Born August 12, 1943 in Altoona, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Thelma (Irvin) Park. 

She was married to Don Schwickrath and had seven children. 

After living in the Pittsburgh Area for a few years, they moved to a farm in the East Brady area where they raised their children.  After her husband passed away, she later remarried Jim Simpson. 

Sandy worked for several years at Miller’s Restaurant in Karns City.  She took great pride in her work as a cook and waitress.  She loved her customers.  Sandy was a great cook and had a smile for everyone she met.  She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and neighbors.

Sandy is survived by her seven children, Ray (Pam) Schwickrath of Worthington, Kim McClaine of New Castle, Pam (Pat) Crawford of Vandergrift, Joe (Lorie) Schwickrath of Sarver, Don (Bonnie) Schwickrath of Sarver, Marjorie (Michael) Johns of Worthington, Kathy Morrison of Pittsburgh, and one stepson, Jerry Simpson of Karns City.  She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, husbands and two sisters, Phyllis Seevers and Janet Houston. 

Friends of Saundra L. “Sandy” Simpson will be received from 5:00-8:00 PM Friday, March 28, 2025 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc. 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028.

Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 PM Friday with Pastor Paul DeBacco, officiating.
