Stephen Sirich, 85, of East Brady, died Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Chicora Medical Center.
Born January 23, 1941 in Perry Twp. Armstrong County, he was the son of Mirko and Mary (Bompage) Sirich.
On February 13, 1964, Steve married the former Lois J. Hicks, she preceded him in death in 2021.
A US Army veteran, Steve served with the 503rd Airborne Infantry Brigade. He was the recipient of the parachutist, the marksman and the sharpshooter badge. He was a member of the American Legion Post #488, Bradys Bend.
While his health allowed, Steve enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, especially in his vegetable garden. He and Lois enjoyed an occasional night out seeing musicals and shows.
Steve was member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church where he served as an usher and participated in the Young at Heart group.
Surviving is his son, Jeffery (Wendy) Sirich of Karns City, and four grandchildren, Jaycee Welton, Meghan Sirich, Jake Sirich and Zach Sirich.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Amy Jo Welton, son in law, Jay C. Welton, five brothers and five sisters.
Burial for Stephen Sirich will be held in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bradys Bend at 11:00AM Tuesday, May 5, 2026 with Rev. Alan Grote and the American Legion Post #488.
The Sirich family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Steve’s name to The American Legion Post #488 975 PA-68, East Brady, PA 16028.
