Thomas H. Weibel, 77, of East Brady, died suddenly at the Butler Memorial Hospital Tuesday January 24, 2012.
Born in Butler, PA on March 27, 1934, he was the son of Eugene J. and Marjorie E. (Hile) Weibel.
Tom married Marylin Kay (Barger) Weibel on February 27, 1960.
A Veteran of the US Army, Tom served in Germany and was honorably discharged with a rank of Specialist 4.
A 1952 Graduate of East Brady High School, Tom worked under his father as an assistant Land Surveyor. Tom continued his career as a Professional Land Surveyor in the East Brady Area for many years.
He was a member of St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church in East Brady. He served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Hospitality Minister, an Altar Server, a member of the St. Eusebius Cemetery Crew, a past member of the Parish Council and helped with church dinners and functions.
Tom served on the Clarion County Planning Commission and the East Brady Sewer Authority.
In his spare time, Tom was an avid gardener.
He is survived by his wife Marylin Kay Weibel of East Brady. 2 Brothers John A. Weibel and wife Dawn of East Brady, and James E. Weibel and wife Mary of Lancaster, PA. 2 Sisters Margaret Jane Dolmovich of Manassas, VA and Janet E. Wright and husband C. Keith of East Brady.
Tom is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and several Godchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents and 1 brother Daniel S. Weibel.
Friends of Thomas H. Weibel will be received 2-4 and 7-9pm Friday January 27, 2012 at the Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home 105 4th Street East Brady, PA 16028
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am Saturday January 28, 2012 at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. William Kuba, Pastor of St. Eusebius Church Celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
There will be a Parish Prayer Service at 3:30pm Friday in the Funeral Home.
The American Legion Post #488 will conduct Military Honors in the Cemetery Saturday.
