Vern Wiles

Vern Wiles, 83, of East Brady died Thursday, June 18, 2026 at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born May 26, 1943 in Bradys Bend, he was the youngest child of Ross A. and Catherine M. (Foringer) Wiles.

Vern worked in construction and heavy equipment operator.  Later in life, he was a caregiver for his mother in her advanced years.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was a dedicated Pittsburgh Steeler fan. 

Vern is survived by two sisters, Virginia Delano of Somerset and Genevieve Zellers of East Brady.  He is also survived by a large extended family of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded death by his parents, one brother Walter Wiles, and six sisters, Jean Murray, Marguerite Heginbotham, Julia Simpson, Rose Young, Ilene Wissinger, and Karen Schrecengost. 

Friends of Vern Wiles will be received from 2:00-4:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2026 at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 707 Kellys Way, East Brady, PA 16028

Funeral Services will be held from the funeral home at 4:00 PM Monday with Rev. Amy Worline, chaplain of the Chicora Medical Center.

Burial will be private.
