William Hicks Obituary

William F. Hicks, 72, of Parker died Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his home. 

Born December 11, 1947 in Petrolia, he was the son of Arthur R. and Mildred V. (Silvis) Beabout.

A US Army Veteran, Bill served his country during the Vietnam Era.  He was a recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, the National Service Defense Medal and the Markmanship M14 Badge.  He was also commended as an Honor Graduate of the Pershing Missile Battery Course.  

Bill began his working career at Pullman Standard then worked as a welder for Hovis Truck and GardenScape.

In 1992, he married Betty J. Gross, she survives.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. 

Surviving is his wife, Betty Hicks of Parker, 2 sons; Donald Dobson, William Hicks III. 3 daughters; Judy McCollough, Jodi Summerville, Vicki Flockerzi.  3 sisters; Carolyn Crawford, Janice (Ken) Crawford and Patricia (Sonny) Everetts.

He is also survived by 1 sister in law, Nettie (Albert) Martsolf, 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Larry Hicks and Richard Hicks, and 1 sister; Vickie Anne Hicks.

Military Honors and Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 30, 2020 in Brady Bend Cemetery with Pastor Paul DeBacco officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home, East Brady, PA.

Donations may be made to Buechele Funeral Home to assist the Hicks' family.
