William E. Smith, Sr. of The Villages FL, formerly of Mercer, PA passed away September 1, 2013 at the age of 78. Bill was born in Rimersburg, Pa. November 25, 1934.
He worked until his retirement in 1985 from Quigley Co., a subsidiary of Pfizer, as a District Sales Manager. He resided at The Villages, Florida at the time of his passing.
He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Mercer Council and past Grand Knight. He also belonged to the Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus Grove City, PA..
Surviving is his wife Dorothy of fifty-seven years, daughter Suzanne Hoffman and husband Richard of Hermitage, PA., son William E. Jr. and wife Tracey of Bivins, TX., daughter Sandra Riede and husband Jason of Mobile, AL. and
eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one brother Larry "Max" Smith and wife Marcia of Edgewood, MD and one aunt Ellen "Peg" Campbell of Hermitage, PA
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am Saturday September 14, 2013 at St. Eusebius Roman Catholic Church, East Brady, PA with the Rev. William Kuba officiating.
Committal Services and Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the Smith family asks the donations be sent in Bill's name to Cornerstone Hospice, CR 466, 601 Casabella, The Villages FL, 32162
